The seeds of the images you see here were planted many years ago when a friend, in a fit of house cleaning frenzy, gave me dozens of old National Geographic magazines. At the same time, I had grown frustrated with my oil paintings and wanted to get back to creating images in a more direct manner.

What began as just plain, simple fun has now grown into a pursuit that keeps my creative batteries charged. Here, I get to work without the constraints of style, subject or deadlines that comes with working in the games industry. I rarely begin with a set idea. I'm happy to let the images I find along the way guide themselves into the final composition. To me, these are artistic playgrounds, where I can experiment with new techniques and follow my imagination.
